Courtney Cone is a sculptor, painter, performer and video artist whose practice articulates experiences of trauma, horror and disgust through dark or irreverent humor. Cone holds an MFA in Art from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA (2017) and a BFA in Painting from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (2015). She is a convicted felon and was incarcerated at the Crain Unit (Texas Department of Criminal Justice) from 2006-2009.
